Disappointment reigns amongst the Wildnet Team and their followers this morning. When the Wildnet captain stomped the wu accelerator to the floor, only five wu's from the finish line, his racing rig sputtered and died, lurching forward only three wu's, coming to a screeching halt still two wu's from the finish line in the The Great 10K CountDown. As a result, stainless Steell roared past, Steelling victory from the jaws of defeat. For Steell, he becomes the 114th AnandTecher to reach the holy grail of milestones at 10K, the pinnacle of Setidom, where a cruncher adds a fifth digit to his tally and morphs into another state of crunchiness. Receiving his 10th K-Key, Stainless turns and waves to the crowd and in a great gesture of sportsmanship, cups his left hand in his right armpit and flaps his right arm vigorously, giving a hearty SRL salute to the Wildnet Team who have all tumbled out of their rig and are pushing the contraption slowly towards the finish line. Congratulations, Steell, and welcome to the 10K club!
Those of you expecting to find a new race to 7500 between Zappin' Zod, IsOs, IJump, MoFunk, and the Federation in today's thread will have to wait until tomorrow. During the race's start yesterday morning the Federation unfortunately false started, leaving the starting gate slightly early. Per SRL rules, the SRL's official starter pistol firer fired a second round directly into Admiral Engineer's buttocks. (Yep, it may seem extreme but that's why we have so few false starts at SRL events.) So, as soon as SRL medics finish bandaging up the Admiral's cheeks, we'll get the race underway.
Advancements among racers on 7/1 include Steell up 1 to 114, IJump up 1 to 48, SoulAssassin up 1 to 50, SWScorch up 1 to 257, titanmiller up 3 to 544, Christof up 1 to 617.
