Today marks the completion of Last One to 750 is a Packet PowderPuff as JustStarting cruises across the finish line. Using a consistent style matched with a periodic power dump, Jumpin' JS managed to keep from wearing the moniker of Packet Powderpuff. That honor goes to Scorchie as the only remaining racer on the track. But being a powderpuff ain't so bad because there are no losers in the SRL. The babes always put together one whale of a consolation prize package consisting of a full body massage to work away those dump muscle aches and pains and a free can of Mt. Dew plus your choice of a fish sandwich or a cookie. (Ooooooo's and Aaaaaaaah's from the crowd.) As both JS and Scorchie head toward the victory lounge, their loyal fans stand and cheer for the wu heroes, hoping that the pair will toss a couple of wu cartridges or a sweaty towel into the stands that they can keep as souvenirs. Congratulations to both JustStarting and SWScorch!
Sensing a rare beloved patriot in CraigRT's armor, Sizzlin Soni powered low out of turn seven and overtook the cruncher formerly known as Yield for third place two days ago in the Funky Bunch Packet Mauler to 5000. Expanding upon his lead yesterday, the Great Dane takes a momentary pause to salute his fan club made up mostly of young ladies proudly wearing their "My Heart Sizzles for Soni" t-shirts. Meanwhile, Captain Funky has put the pedal to the metal in the psychadelic Funky Bus as he roars down the back stretch to the funky tune of 80 wu's. In the 2500 WU Packet Crapper, Awesome Adeno glances over his shoulder to get a read on Panhead49's position. Knowing full well that Poundin' Pannie is stock-piling wu's somewhere on board his rig, the ninja admin of our off-site forum can spend little time enjoying his current lead.
The Rock 'em Sock 'em Workunit Wipe Out to 2000 is a thrill a minute for the fans as the top three position players keep the racing tight. BigFatCow, chewing his cud fiercely, continues to lead the pack, but Basilisk420 narrows the gap to five. If I were Sassy Bassie, I think I'd avoid startling the cow, at least while I was behind him. In the 2000 Workunit Wonderland WU Whopper, the action remains hot and heavy at the top with only 18 workunits separating positions one through four. Adding one wu to his lead over Karsten, JimMc opens his driver's window and dumps a bucketful of vegatable oil on the track, hoping to force the King of Karnage into a spin. Meanwhile, big bad onebadv6 tightens his hold on the three hole, pouring three more wu's down the wu chute than strider7 who now sits five wu's back in fourth place.
