Lean Lane42 gets a little time in the headlines on this cold, wet, and miserable day here on the north coast of Ohio. Yep, it's spring but you sure wouldn't know it by the weather. With normal temps in the low 70's for this time of year, the upper 40's just doesn't cut it. And let me ask you... is there anything more refreshing than a 45 degree rain? :disgust: ... Huh? ... Oh, yeah... Lean Lane... One of Giggling Gertrude's favorites, the 400 pound shockie fairy had the opportunity to pay Lean Lane a little visit overnight and leave a valuable and highly prized shockie award under his pillow for his outstanding 128 wu performance. Climbing up the downspout of Lean Lane's house, no easy task for a 400 pound fairie wearing pink tights and a tutu, Gertie quietly slid open the window to Lane's bedroom. Sliding into the room, temporarily lodging her rotund buttocks in the window opening but managing to wiggle free, Gertie silently slid the SRL's most coveted prize under the sleeping Lane's pillow and deposited a big wet kiss on Lane's cheek before departing the same way she came. Upon awakening in the morning, the only evidence that Lane could find that Gertie had paid him a visit was the gleaming shockie award under his pillow and the large red lipstick mark on his cheek. Well that, and the busted window, the muddy size 14 footprints on the carpet, and the demolished rain gutter...
The constant throbbing roar emanating from Packet Pulverizer Park makes known to the world that excitement abounds on the track inside the stadium in the Whack 'em Smack 'em 2000 Packet Pulverizer. The battle for second is intensifying, with AstIsis closing slowly in on Whackin' Wiz's fleet. With the deficit now in single digits, AstIsis is the picture of determination, eyes riveted on the road ahead, hands constantly feeding unpulverized packets into the intake manifold of her munching machinery. The crowd is on their feet, stomping and screaming their robust approval of the action taking place on the track. Meanwhile, a clear leader has emerged in the newly started 2500 WU Packet Crapper as Poundin' Pannie unleashes a torrent of 78 deciphered workunits to storm into the lead. To his rear, Amazing Ammocan, Poopsie and Awesome Adeno are locked in a bodacious battle for the right to own second place. In a virtual tie at 96, Poopsie and Adeno toss wu cartridges and trade incredibly offensive dirty looks with each other in an attempt to disrupt each other's concentration. Oh, and there's a damaging blow from Poopsie! A single fingered salute! But not to be outdone, Adeno deftly returns the salute with both hands, causing his fans to heartily roar their approval.
Also earning an award and a kiss from Gertie overnight is Soggy Socks as he uses his large racing boots to stomp 21 little packets into a gazillion tiny pieces in the Last One to 750 is a Packet PowderPuff. Landing his fleet on the 743 wu mark, Soggy is less than one day from paydirt. The huge purgement also earns Damp Foot Mittens an extra digit for his tally and his first K-Key to hang on his SRL keyring. The Pafster continues to pad his lead in the Funky Bunch Packet Mauler to 5000, plasterizing 84 packets to extend his lead to 252 over the second place CraigRT, the cruncher formally known as Yield, who has just retaken the two slot from Captain Funky. Unfortunately, MoFunk appears to be struggling with the workunit pre-crunch manifold inductor deducer grinder-gear sleeve bearing adjustment nut on the psychadelic Funky bus's port injunction cling-toss reactor arm assembly. Not an easy problem to fix while in the midst of a knock-down, drag-out battle for second place in a highly competitive race, no siree!
