Despite running his Indiana fleet from a remote race port in Texas, Minnie Minendo manages to hold onto the lead in the 2000 WU Bump and Dump long enough to cross the finish line ahead of the hard charging Kaptain Kewlie and earn the right to settle his buttocks gently down into the warm, soothing waters of the SRL hottub and let the therapeutic liquid scented with exotic oils from the SRL exotic oil herb garden relax his tired, aching dump muscles. Had this race gone on another day, the outcome would probably have been different, with m2kewl ramping up his crunching apparatus into the high-octane realm of the upper thirties and forties. But Minnie's strong start allowed him to build a lead that afforded him the luxury of coasting remotely while the fleet finished up the dirty work on the track. The race babes are extremely happy to see young Minnie once again since he has proven to be one of the most attentive audiences for their physics lessons, always ready to jump in and share his own personal expriences with muons and gluons and quarks and quacks whenever the opportunity arises. Congratulations, Minendo!
Although Poopsie leads the Whack 'em Smack 'em 2000 Packet Pulverizer by a dump muscle numbing 280 wu's, the SETI racing world is riveted on the battle being waged for the number two spot. With his downed cruncher now sporting a new BIOS and leading his fleet once again, Whackin Wiz is back sliding pounded packets down the wu chute in the 20-plus range. But Qrunch Queen AstIsis is stomping all over workunits at a blistering pace from the third position and hovers ominously only 15 wu's to Wiz's rear. Meanwhile, Gizzie, still trying to shake the wu dust from his hair kicked up when AstIsis screamed by days earlier, finds himself 12 wu's behind and struggling to keep up, ducking the marshmallows and crab apples being tossed periodically at his coconut from AstIsis' fan club in the stands. What a rowdy bunch they are!

The battle for second between ManWithPlan and Powerful Pyxis is heating up nicely as the pair cruise only 10 wu's apart. Meanwhile, GasPath2 has lit the pilot light on the wu burner and is closing in on Bullet BobTheWizard from the trailing spot. The Seriff is back on his studly stead and leadin' the posse in the 5000 WU Queue Buster after falling off his horse yesterday. Passing the half-way point in the race, Zappin' Zod still keeps a watchful eye on Poundin' Pazoo who may be tinkling wu's into his queue, saving up for a power purge in the near future. And the cruncher formerly known as Yield, CraigRT grits his teeth and stomps the accelerator to the floor, snapping off 76 wu's in the Funky Bunch Packet Mauler to 5000 as he gains back ground on Captain Funky in the psychadelic funky bus. But the real story in this bracket this morning is the near century smash from the trailing racer Jolly JonB as he attempts to catch up to the rest of the pack.
