Let's all welcome a new member to the SRL. Making his SRL debut in a challenge race to the 250 wu milestone marker (anybody care to challenge?) is Crackin' Christof making a solo run in The Christof Crunch - Gotta Get To 250. Currently pounding packets at the rate of two per day, Crackin' Christof enters the wild realm of babes, beer, and hard hitting hottub physics lessons, beginning his SRL Oddessy at 54 wu's but promising a rapid climb through the charts. Lest any of you possible challengers out there think the new guy may be an easy mark, rumor has it he's in the process of performing a racing rig upgrade to an Epox powered monster machine, so beware! Welcome to the Seti Racing League, Crakin' Christof, and good luck on your journey!
There it is again! Hmmmm... Now it's gone. We'll have to get engineering to take a look at the sensor array to make sure there's nothing wrong. I wonder if the gamma filter in scanner grid H37 level 4 is acting up again...
Several shockie winners in today's headlines are worthy of mention. It seems folks here like to make Gertrude (the 400 pound shockie fairie) work a little overtime on Friday nights. Grabbing a jaw dropper for his monster 305 wu dump in 20,000 Before the Project Ends, or Else!, Ben98SentraSE gives the fans a thrill, nearly doubling up his normal output and forcing SRL cleanup crews to hustle over to 20K Park to clean up the mess. Lumbering though the TA-Seti ranks, Gigglin' Gertie next finds the team of Great Danes, Team Toft / Vold - DK, with a stash of 123 workunits stuffed under their pillows. Leaving a shockie award and planting a big wet kiss on Toft the Terrific's cheek before departing, Gertie shuffles down to the 1000 WU Woad Wally where the portly bovine BigFatCow has left a big fat steaming cow patty consisting of 65 wu's for Gertie to step in. Tossing a shockie award in with BigFatCow's corn, Gertrude makes her way into the Lonely Racer's bracket and breaks into a dead run as she spies a huge pile of workunits laying beside her favorite SRL racer, LANMAN. Giggling like a school girl, Gertie plops three shockie awards at LANMAN's feet for his monster 860 wu purge and gives hims a big hug, nearly suffocating him between her enormous... fairie wings.
No, that's no sensor ghost! That's the USS Ohio and that renegade Captain OD who has just trans-warped by the way station at sector marker 20K! Now it's time for me to break out the Romulan Ale and party with the green skinned babes in 10-Forward.
In the 3000 WU Smoosh, Captain MoFunk, his foot pressing the gas pedal firmly to the floorboards of the psychadelic Funky Bus, implores Rowdy Ray to come up with some kind of plan to slow down the Rebel Alliance and Jumpin' Jatwell who are are closing in on the Funky Bus's position at an alarming rate. Another day, maybe two, maybe three, and the Funky Pair may find themselves staring at the backsides of not one, but two other racers. Captain Clams has the USS Shux cruising now, breaking the century barrier overnight in the Seti Stud-Studded Stud Stomp to 4000. Unfortunately for the dashing Captain Clams, Poundin' Pazoo is only one wu behind after laying waste to 111 workunits. And a quick look at the 1000 WU Packet Pounder Derby shows crt1530 continuing to lead the pack but a strong challenge is being waged by Why Yes YS who breaks the 20 wu mark with a monster 24, earning a smilie award for the effort.
