Makin' Bacon Cakin and Cunning Conjur continue their pursuit of the top 50 ranking on the Team AnandTech SETI roster. With the Bacon Man cruising at number 52 and conjur still orbiting at the number 57 slot, their road is made that much more difficult by a number of rising stars who keep sliding passed them on their way up the charts, and some ornery wu whackers that just refuse to surrender their spots. Next up on the list for cakin is Anything But Plain Wayne who is tenaciously holding on to the 51st spot, refusing to surrender without a nasty fight. Finding the going similarly tough is Awesome Adul who is chasing down the 250th ranking on the TA charts. Placement challenges are perhaps some of the most difficult paths to follow as so much is out of your control, but these brave crunchers have decided that no challenge is too tough for them, for they have wu juice in their veins and they breathe packet powder as if it were oxygen.
Bolstered by the temporary addition of a Turellian Northwood plasma booster, the USS Ohio is streaking for the 20K milestone marker at maximum warp for the old air frame. After nearly breaking the 50 parsec per day mark for the first time in the old ship's history, Captain OD orders the ship's medical officer to break out the Romulan Ale and the Gornathian Jerkweed for what should turn out to be one he11 of a party to celebrate the USS Ohio's new found power output. Meanwhile, Captain Skoopa continues to cruise at a 20 parsec per day pace in an attempt to hold off the USS Wayne's World who is closing quickly from behind. Minnie Minendo and the British Bulldog Racers both earn smilies for their rough and tumble 30-plus wu whomps in the The Crunch & Munch 10K. As of late, something has gotten into both race pairs as their production numbers are once again approaching their former glory.
Jumpin' Jatwell has taken over the lead from Team Funky Ray in the 3000 WU Smoosh. Wisely staying out of cane range while performing his passing maneuver, Jumpin J also found he had to duck out of the way of a couple of rather large racing boots flung his way from the open door of the psychadelic Funky Bus. Unfortunately, while Rowdy Ray was removing his boots to toss at Jumpin' J, Captain MoFunk ran the bus over a rather large rock, causing Ray to loose his balance and knock over the Cane of Flatulence recharge canister which sprung a leak through the broken pressure valve. Luckily for them, the Funky Bus's oxygen masks automatically deployed and the pair quickly donned the life saving equipment, in Rowdy Ray's case, just in time to regain his composure and heave his boots at Jumpin' Jatwell as he trundled by.
Electrode is making a move on Marrkks in the Plain Old Race to Crunch 1500 WU's. Now capacitizing workunits at the rate of 30-plus per day, Electrode has his racing rig running smoothly and hot on the trail of Magnificent Marrkks. A general downward trend in production seems to have hit all of the racers in the 1500 WU Smackdown. Could this have something to do with the accident with Ray's flatulence canister and the fact that Smackdown Stadium and Smoosh Park share the same air recirculation system? KCJeeper holds onto the lead in the 1000 WU Woad Wally but TA's K-Man Kruptikos appears to have lit his wu afterburners in an attempt to catch the jeeper from KC before he can tally the remaining 44 wu's. And Bullet BodTheWizard and Excellent Emos keep the track hot and the ladies squealing as they battle it out on the Team AnandTech SETI 111110100 track.
