Any one else almost wet themselves when Worf's voice says, "Captain, incoming message"?

I had the speakers where I normally run them and this came blaring through and scared the crap out of me. Started checking my mIRC script because I couldn't figure out where it was coming from. Next I checked the SETI Driver client and it had just finished a work unit so I figured that's what did it. 17% into the next work unit it happened again, that's when I figured out it was the SETI Queue and promply shut off the sounds.

This is going to take a while to get used to. From doing 20K+ WU a day in Dnet to just under 30 in SETI. 🙁

But 30 per day is pretty damned impressive in SETI. You should see yourself rocket up the charts in no time. I started with a few WU's per day and am now at 80+ :Q. It's a prespective thing! 😉

Oh, and the SETIQueue scared the crap out of me more than once! I turned the sound off! :Q
 
I've never heard the sounds, I always run SetiQ as a service, I guess it doesn't play them that way.

30 WU'day is not to shoddy at all !!!!!

LOL 🙂 ,soon after I moved into my current place I accidently left my speakers on 1 day & then went out,that same sound scared the hell out of my landlady/friend latter that night!😉

30WU's/day is a decent output,that puts you in the Top 60-65 highest producer in the team🙂 (checkout Orange Kids weekly stats thread) ,that's just a shade above me atm 😛.Last week I did 27/day & was 67th highest producer
 
ßGød, Welcome to SETI! A few times I've had the speakers on and forgot to turn them down before going to bed. My wife clobbers me when the thing goes off at 2:00 AM! 😀

 
My personal server has no sound card, so it came as a suprise to me when the employee at my dad's office who works on the computer the Q there is on started telling me about it saying that sometimes. It took me a while to figure out what it was🙂
