Rule #1 of overclocking a nForce board (and any board for that matter): As soon as you have a stable system and before any overclocking run GHOST / CLONE. That puts you only 10 - 15 minutes away from getting back where you were when the OS gets corrupted. And remember if you are using Norton's GHOST (is there any other?) be sure to make the floppy boot disk (or a bootable CD) ... you'll need it.
Sorry for the lost OS.
I didn't follow the rules

Me bad boy!

GHOSTing the drive is the best, but with 160 GB, it takes some time. And if you are like me, you'll likely to do it more than a dozen times

I think it would be great if there's a way to GHOST this harddrive to multiple CDs or DVDs. Is that possible?
Anyway, I think it is easier to simply copy "system". It the only file that seems suseptible to data corruption in Windows XP Pro. Since I don't have any real data
To backup the files in Windows\system32\config, I boot up the computer using the CD, then choose R, to activate the repair console. I make a subdirectory called OldConfig and copy system into it. (I don't think it would hurt if you copy all of the files inside config. You have to do it one by one since the console copy command doesn't work with wildcards or directory copy.)
Then the next time Windows XP Pro complains about system being corrupted, I boot up with the CD and use console repair to copy system from OldConfig to Config.
Since I usually place my sah subdirectory inside system32, it would normally get lost if I do I reinstall of the OS. So if I had to reinstall, I now bootup first with repair and rename C:Windows to C:Windows2 before the actual reinstallation of XP Pro. I'm not sure if rename command in the console will allow me to simply rename C:\Windows\system32\sah to C:\sah. If it does, that would be better.
I hope someone else can benefit from this idea
