I get about 24-25 WU's a day out of my 1.7ghz pentium-m, but its not crunching all the time due to the fact its a laptop, meanwhile my 1ghz athlon (o/c @ 1.33ghz) is lucky to get 6 a day?!!

I know! So everyone out there with pentium-m's...put those mobile crunchers to work! they make mince meat of WU's!

I'll take a look at my setispy log's and get an idea...I know I've gotten 18 WU from one box in a day before, but it's not the rule, more like the exception. When my Dual 2.8GHz Xeon gets here, I imagine I'll have a box that does over 20/day (yes, it's HT, so that's 4 processes of SETI running at the same time).

I've got 2 Centrino 1.6GHz machines, and they don't come close to this...I find it odd that you're getting that much better results. I'm curious what the difference is.

About 9-10/day on my 2500+ @ 2.2ghz, but that gets used alot because of it being my main machine.

So that machine averages less than 1 hour per WU? 24 a day from a computer not running 24 hours :confused:

BTW, 6 or 7 out of my XP 1800.
-edit- no, my best is my dually MP 1800, about 12 a day.

24-25 a day (period of 24 hours!) LoL...its just not crunching them permanently, say when it goes of to a LAN ;). that measurement was also taken after leaving it unattended for 24 hours! so it was doing nothing at all but pure seti crunching.

WOW!

I've a dual XP1800+ machine that only does 12...maybe 13 in a day. Did you have like a whole bunch of Sweet WUs that day??

And PIII 1.0-m that only does 5-6 WU/day. I can't imagine a 1.7 does 4-5 times as many. If so, wow, we should ALL be running one of them! :D

I normally get between 16 - 17 per day out of my P4-2.4C @ 3192Mhz. Somehow I got 22 out of it a few days ago but I have a feeling I got a few bad WU's that kicked out. I didn't check.

I don't think 24-25 per day is possible out of a single CPU running a single instance. I mean, that's 1 hour WU's. As far as I know even with sweet WU's that's not possible.

5 to 6 a day on my XP2000+ machine running Linux, 5 to 6 a day on my P4 1.6Ghz running WinXP Pro.

One of these day's soon I'm going to try running the WinCLI3.03 using WINE on the Linux box and see what time improvement I can get.

Dell 3.2GHz P4 800 - 17WU's per day.

My Pentium-M 1.5 gets between 12-13 per day. Are you doing something different to get that many? You're talking about sub 1 hour WU times! :Q

I think he made a calculation error or he had a BUNCH of bad wu's (less that 1 min each) in that run. There's no way that system could put out that many every day. If it can....I'll eat my shorts!

Yeah, I'm still waiting for that answer myself :) Just doesn't click. Intel Application Accelerator optimized for the Seti client?

I would love for you to eat your shorts....and then let LaptopDude show the rest of us how to get the same results! ;)
