OrangeKid jumps out of the gate and ends up in the top 50!

Lane42 and crashtech can be found in the 2nd group, 51-100.

A bunch of you are in the 101-150 group.....but not me.....

Goodness, there I am, hanging out with @QuietDad around the 250th place. 🙁 😉

We're superior at FB Sprint for a reason.😉
I am missing the rocket ship race that they had last year on the Wow! Event site. :-|
Yeah, the zodiac groups thing become pointless without the rocket race to find the little green man. 🙁

LOL. I posted a message on the site regarding the Zodiac rocket ships....no reply yet. I find the site hard-ish to navigate, perhaps we just missed the little green man graph?

I am running only 9 cores, 14 threads. No GPU. I have had to watch my budget intensely of late. Managing 3 properties (mine, mom's, and my remodel project), I have felt the need to purchase a small tractor with a dozen implements or so, to fight back mother nature. Fortunately the 3 properties are in a row, adjoining, and although only 1.5 acres or so total, we are surrounded by 'jungle/forest' and the vines and saplings have been kicking my a** for years. I finally found my fence at the remodel.....after digging through 12 feet/4 meters of underbrush....as an example. 😉

I love you guys! Go kick some alien-signal booty on my behalf!

I am having a flashback.....................of sorts..............
@Tejas_2 is old farting it again in front of me, might want to accelerate a few times to blow out the cobs- your leaving dust bunnies on my windshield and I'm about out of washer juice.
The new person in the mix whom I rarely see since he hole shots at the starting gun, xii5ku is tailgating and coming up pretty fast, it's looking like he's setting up to do a bump and run (over) me.
but lo and behold @biodoc is behind xii5ku with the DAMN high beams on AGAIN!!!

Searching Amazon for spike strips................

Just checked my BOINC manager. Do seti has connection problem right now?

Some of you guys must be bunkering...? Otherwise I could not be leading the TeAm at this moment.
Or maybe you are attracting all those precious AstroPulse WUs.

/me goes looking...
You got 6 of those, right? I got... 20! :astonished: (5 valid, 8 pending, 7 in progress)

In total, 2199 tasks of mine were validated yet. I am putting mere 1.2...1.3 kW towards SETI@home at the moment.

I switched my gear on only shortly after the start, hence still have a somewhat higher ratio of pending:valid (1.12 : 1). Yours is already way below 1.0, according to a quick glance at some of your computers.

The 1.2+ kW were pulled by 5 GPUs. Just now, one dual CPU host joined, making it 1.5...1.7 kW. I have power meters at a dual Pascal and at the dual Broadwell-EP host, and once both have a sufficient row of valid tasks, I will be checking out their PPD/W. I was wondering about their mutual efficiency already at last year's Wow!-Event, but didn't actually measure.

Edit, actually about 0.1 kW are going towards CSG, sideloaded on one of the CPUs that drive the SETI GPUs.

I don't remember or haven't ever known which devices are the best producers for SETI. It doesn't seem to put much strain on the GPUs at all.

Average for 1080Ti, X99, Linux, cuda90 application:
175 W, 89 % shader utilization, 67 % memory interface utilization
This includes the gaps between task teardown and bringup.

Since they provide time histories for zodiak signs a.k.a. groups, and for users, but not for teams and countries, I made a graph of the history of the current top 16 teams, sampled at 2 hour intervals.
