Seti@Home Output For 5/14 & 5/15

NICE!

I just saw that $179 microcenter deal on Q6600 oem. I had a tuniq burning a hole in my pocket, one thing led to another...now I just need a decent mobo to crank it up to 3.6+.

Awesome jump in output 😎.

Btw I shall be partially switching back my main rig to SETI very soon, for the near term it'll be just 1 of my 3GHz Q6600 cores, once I've put some space between me & crispy in DPAD I'll switch another over. Not much compared to some but it'll certainly boost my RAC quite a bit 🙂.

Wow! ,that'll be a helluva boost!😀

well, the stats are kind of screwed up from that one day that double-reported, but the past 3 days we've gotten 297,901, 296,598, and 305,330! RAC is up to 276,013. Dajeepster is up to #17 and still climbing, and Todd Hebert has the #11 computer now. Keep up the good work guys!

Cool! 😀.

Err, whose Todd?😱

I'm itching to partly switch my quad to SETI but 1st I want to get a 1mill gap between me & crispy in DPAD, the last 200k is taking a painfully long time!😛.
*checks stats* ahh just 45k to go 🙂.

Todd is #2 on the TeAm in RAC and has by far the baddest-A$$ system. most badA$$...whatever, his E5420 rig is in the top 10 now in the world for seti RAC. Not too shabby!!

E5420??

Looking at his SETI stats he's got quite a fleet!:Q😎

The top 2 in his fleet for RAC are a Xeon E5440 (I guess the one you mean?) & a Q6600.
I see the Xeon is doing nearly 3000 credits/day more!, but doesn't the 'E' refer to a dual core & not a quad core? how the heck is a dual core beating a quad core??😕, is it on more?

the E5440 is a quadcore 45nm Xeon
E5440 at newegg
E5440 linked to intel product page

yeah... i don't understand thier naming schema half the time either

Ah now it makes sense! 🙂 ,but why on earth don't Intel stick to a quad being called 'Qxxxx'?? 😕

So what's he got it o/ced to?

I don't think you can oc a skt 771 cpu unless it's in a skulltrail, which his is not. it's just 8 cpus at 2.83 ghz. if you could run a quad 24/7 at 5.66 then you'd be even with him 😉

I just noticed that the Xeon 45nm Quads "Lxxxx" are 50w, "Exxxx" are 80w, and the "Xxxxx" are 120w... that looks like thier naming schema

Lol, no probs ,let me bring out the liquid helium cooling to drop it to ~ -270C then maybe I could hit 6 GHz 😉.

we really need to send someone to antarctica to get that "natural cooling effect". Maybe peter could migrate his system down there...
