SETI@Home has a new stat----Registration class. I'm second in my class!!!

At least I think it is a new stat?

I've never seen it before. It is located on your personal stats page and has you listed with everyone else that registered the same day as you!


585 people registered with Seti the same day I did and I'm in second place!!!!🙂
 
Yes, it's a new stat. I seem to have picked a bad day to join, though, I quit counting when I got down to 5th place in my class 🙂

Kind of a bogus stat, though. I'd like to see how I rank in production out of all those who registered on the same day. Not which number I was. 🙁

I am 1st in my class and 2.7 times that of the number 2 member. 🙂 Nearly 500 people joined the day I joined. What was interesting all of them had completed at least 2 WUs for a total of 261,000. So, I wonder if they culled the one who had never submitted?
 
Ranked by production, I'm 44 out of 260... 🙁

Edit: I just imported all the data to Excel and sorted it. The top guy from my class has returned 75888 :Q:Q results with an average CPU time of 4 hr 45 min 24.9 sec :Q. Everyone from my group has returned at least 5 wu's for a total of 242951 wu's. The lowest average work time from my class is 4 hr 44 min 50.9 sec, while the highest is 174 hr 01 min 28.6 sec :Q.
 
Yeah, looks like they sorted by registration time of day. I'm 450 out of 472 (Feb 19th, 2001).

But I'm 8th in WU production. 😀 And it would have been better, but Old Geezer hasn't produced much since I joined TWTA in racing. 😀

It's nice to remember when I joined though. 🙂

I'm ranked at 2nd in my class(of 386)!! 😀 I was 147th person to join on that day of March 12th, 2000; I joined TA in April of 2000. 🙂

First in the class is currently at 18,137 - but he ain't gonna retain that standing - I guarrantee it! 😉

I too am second in my class. Here are the top three:

HAL-2K with 29593 WUs between 15 August 2001 and today.
GulDukat with 3476 WUs between 15 August 2001 and today.
Legion with 2298 WUs between 15 August 2001 and today.

Not too likely that I'll catch HAL-2K...isn't that a Beowolf Cluster somewhere?

OK - I just downloaded my class data and sorted it.

1st place by production in my class has 75,791. :Q
2nd place has 59,151. :Q
3rd place has 51,859. :Q
4th place has 48,676. :Q
...
17th place is the one and only Hellburner at 13768. 🙂
...

And on, and on, and on till you get to me at #34... 😛 I feel so insignificant... 🙁

I guess 34th out of 3,125 isn't so bad...

I would say that being in the top 0.01088 percent of your class was dasm good! 😀

That is a sweet stat. I didn't do as well as I thought I would only coming in at #5 out of 472 but here is the top 5.

All five of us have turned in units in the last day or two so I'll be fighting active members, but I'm hoping I can move up a position or two by my 1 year aniversary.🙂

I am currently in third place for production, out of the 450 people that joined on August 19. I will be tracking things as they update though. It is quite possible that I will be in second place for production after the next update.
 
Crap, looks like I am down to 4th now. 🙁 I would be in third or second if not for the cold weather up here keeping people away from my friend's store.
