I will check. It has been very quiet over there lately. Should be close on releasing details of SETI 2 Project.
Extremetech.com (part of Ziff Davis) came out with a large detailed Distributing Computing article and Introduction today.

I can't wait to here about S@H2 :D

I hope the stats don't start at 0 for that!:Q ,mind you that would give me the chance to rise in the team charts instead of falling;)

<< I think SETI-2 will replace SETI >>

Will SETI-2 have work units that are 2x as long, or what will be changed from SETI-1?

I dont know ,too early to tell ,I only recall someone close to SETI telling me that it was likley that the WU count would start again with S@H2 ,of course that could be wrong;)

Hi Assim and all,

Latest news on the pipe is that there is no countdown yet on it. Remember an actual cable run will have to be done out there in the Utilities world of underground lines. Once the work begins though it would be an exciting time getting to the point of throwing the switch. I haven't asked specifically on the status of the project online now after 2 comes into being but the new project is a "new" project so it would naturally have it's own infrastructure and protocols.

<< That's great news!!! :D

Hopefully this will help avoid the release of a new slower client.
I can't wait for the details to come out!

Hey, if the slower client does more sophisticated signal analyses, I'd be fine with that. Would be nice to see one more heavily optimized for SSE, SSE2, and the 3DNow!+ instruction sets.
