Our Cogent link has been down since around 9:00am PST (16:00 UTC). Data servers are currently unreachable. The problem is currently being diagnosed.

Update: The latest word from Cogent: "There's currently a UFO issue that is affecting multiple customers that we are working as quickly as possible to resolve. It is possible that this issue is causing this particular outage. There is currently no ETA on resolution for the current issue."

I thought a 20 work unit cash was a little much but I did it any way. Now after applying a few tricks i learned here this lil AMD winnie blowing through them rather quickly and now I wonder if 20 units will be enough.

It is possible that this issue is causing this particular outage. There is currently no ETA on resolution for the current issue." Update 2 (23:30 UTC): Cogent has isolated the fault and has dispatched a person to fix it. We hope to see it fixed soon.

One day, when we find aliens, they'll have all bases covered. Until then, we live with it. 😛
 
I just reinstalled WinXP - I can't set up SETI until the servers are back up right? I really want to see how fast my AMD64 3200+ CPU is. 🙂

Empty queue Move-Fill is set to 50, so you should be able to grab 50WU per user straight away, until I move more into the new queues 🙂
 
Yup. The slow and painful process of uploading after an outage appears to have begun. The good news is, by the time my WU's are uploaded, I'll be in the top 1000 of the TeAm!
