I'm setting up a rig to run CLI and SETI Driver. Now, I've done this before - many moons ago - but somehow I can't get it to do it again. I've followed the instructions yet.... When I set "Desired Cache Size" to "1", the program doesn't hold the "1" but reverts it to "0" when I try to click on anything else. So, I can't get intialized and set up. Need help. Thanks.

Have you tried using 2 or 3? After entering the cache size, click on the SAVE CONFIG button, exit, then re-enter and see if it saved the setup information.

Thanks, Ray, but no luck. No matter what number I try to change the Cache size to, as soon as I click on anything else it reverts to zero. I think I'll try to download a different copy and see if that works, though I have my doubts.

Okay... I'm not too swift, it took me a while to identify the problem: it's a permission thing with W2K Pro. When I am logged in as Administrator I can change the cache the cache size. When I am logged in as a user I can't.

Unfortunately my permission experience is limited and I don't know the answer. Any W2K guys out there who could help? I logged in as Administrator (with the Network Administrator's okay) and set the permissions for the CLI and SETI Driver so that Power Users, and myself as a local user could have full control over the programs. However.... when I log back in as myself as a local user I can't change the cache size and the programs won't run. Help!

As an admin, check the permissions on the folder the SETI CLI and SETIDRIVER are located, and make sure your USER has write/modify permissions to that folder.

Thanks Ray! That was it, and I get to learn a bit more. Maybe even enough to be dangerous!
