Just out of interest (as i run seti anyway) but not for a team, how many do people complete a day or week? just wondering if its even worth me to joining a team to help out, my computer isn't the fastest it only churns out about 8 per 24 hours or 54-58 per week .... Would this help enough?
I may have to give you an "armed escort" 😉 but you would be a most welcomed and appreciated member of TeAm AnandTech-Seti. 😀

If you still have your Seti Password, you can Click on This LINK and join up.

All of your current and future WUs will continue to be credited to your account. When you join a team, the team also gets credit for your work. So it really is a double bonus when a new member, like you, joins us. We, The TeAm, get a big boost. 😀

SexyLady, what Unforgiven says is correct. We as a TeAm value every single work unit and each member on the TeAm big or small. We would be honored to have you as a TeAmmate.

Ok i joined the team, so my completed units went towards it as well, as i havn't belonged to a team before.... go easy on me its not the fastest computer in the world! ... hides behind *Smoke* dunn let them hurt me now!!

LOl thanks Wolfsraider, but im sure i can hide somewhere or behind something.... Can somone tell me what this teams within teams is about? ummm like i know we all complete seti units for anandtech but whats the "mini teams" thingy? ... yes im a nosey female... sorry ....

no no its a good question....i would explain it but id bungle it 🙂 an explanation for the masses from an informed person would be helpful..... for you young lady!

Well I am on the Rebel Alliance and TAS...I crunch for TeAm Anandtech by adding my cpu power to the Rebel Alliance for all jim has done for me and to repay his kindness.I also crunch for TAS (TeAm Anandtech Sentinel- a mini team thats main goal is to help out the different projects like md5crk and tsc.
We add our combined forces together focusing on areas that need help.TeAm Taboo helps members reach milestones thast otherwise might not be obtained by the members they help or at least speed upthe process.

Its all about teamwork...its all for team anandtech. We are all working toward a common goal
"Teammates Advancing Science...One CPU at a Time"

There are many sides to it but this is what it means to me

Hope this helps

Mike

oops you said informed DOH

i know this is way off topic but does anyone have any idea of why this is happening .... When i go to my profile and change my email address (as i have changed ISP's), i put in new email which is fine and they send me a new password (just the way anandtech does things) to the "new mail account" which is all good so far, so i sign into anandtech using the changed password and go to my profile to change password (to one i can remember) and to my suprise my OLD email address is back again on profile (which is weird as they sent the password change to the new email address), i have now completed this 6 times all with the same result, so why the heck does my old email account always show back up? and how can i get it permanently changed to the correct email address? this is such a pain as any replys to posts get sent to my old email account and not to the current new one that i use.... Sorry to post this here but it is starting to annoy me more than you can imagine....

/me thinks SexyLady has spent a lot of time in Off Topic... 😉😉

1. No need to hide behind anyone here, this is the friendliest, most helpful place on the 'net, IMHO. 🙂
....And if anyone gives you any trouble, I'll *whack* 'em upside the head with my cane......

2. any question is a good question here. 🙂

3. whatever cruncher you bring to the TeAm is appreciated. 🙂

I've got an old dual PII450 crunching away, that thing takes 11 to 14 hours per WU. 🙂

So Welcome! to Team Anandtech, SexyLady! 😀

Could that PII contraption be an IBM by chance, Ray? 😉

It certainly is. 😀 Lost 1 of the SCSI drives recently, but other than that, it just keeps on crunching away. 😀

Yip after the 16th try to change email address (which btw wasn't on the banned list) it stuck, i think they bought out the heavy duty super glue and stuck the bugga in place!! (pity i didn't think of the glue trick earlier!!) so at least i get notified of forum posts and such now.... All is well that ends well!!...
The only problem i have now is my partner (who first introduced me to seti) is in a huff as i didn't join his team ...Whoops i didnt know he had a team!! Oh well i will see how long he sulks for... if its to long i might have to pull out of this one (but i dont want to!!!!), but then should i be loyal to the person who introduced me to seti?, becides i don't like being on rashins...ya know!! lol... *sighs* decisions desisions...

LOl i don't know, i never asked... he said it was a small one so i presume only a few people, but i know hes got seti loaded on some of the work servers and client computers he does business networking (for a job) and some clients have some dual Xeon servers that run at night that would crunch very nicely!! ... when he gets over his "huff" with me i might ask the name of team lol
