Seti Classic updated into BOINC

The classic numbers from Seti have been imported into Seti BOINC today. Does this mean they are actually close to shutting classic down?

Hmmm... just saw this on the S@H message boards:
Subject: WARNING: message boards
Posted by Matt Lebofsky User Profile on Mar 16, 2005 at 14:29

Hello, People of the Boards,

Here's a warning message that we will soon be ramping down these message
boards and we highly encourage everybody to start using the BOINC message
board system:

http://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/forum_index.php

Of course, you'll have to register your account with BOINC to post new
messages there. In case you haven't done so, information is here:

http://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/sah_participate.php

More information about the new SETI@home in general:

Another message hidden away in the forums:
Okay - before anybody gets too excited, these are just some baby steps as we prepare for the real migration. We have a lot of cleanup to do. Basically, having old classic stats in the BOINC profiles confused/infuriated users who were making the switch over to BOINC. As well, I'm personally sick and tired of dealing with the slow and impossible-to-administrate classic message boards so might as well start requesting that people use these boards which work a *lot* better.

It's not like we're shutting things down tomorrow. We'll still give plenty of advance warning.

Finally, an end in sight. To be honest, I'm ready for a change. I've already moved a lot of my power over the FaD project.

Dayum, what have they been doing. None of my machines got any WUs. I tried to manually connect, and it asked for my account information. After that, all worked normally. I use seti driver and auto transmit. Never before has it "lost" my acc. info???

Hmm... they had me worried here. Only 50 to go till 5000 🙂
