We have a mixture of 2k and xp PCs here and have recently implemented a new security policy where the screensaver is supposed to lock the workstation after 20 minuets. On all new PCs we simply set that setting for the "default user" and it has worked fine. However, now when we visit less than new PCs we have to make the change with the user logged in. So is there a way (reg setting?) that we can hit that will set this for all of the users that use the PC?

You can configure this via a Group Policy.

User Configuration / Administrative Templates / Control Panel / Display / Password protect the screen saver.

We cant set that up on the old domain which is where a majority of the users reside. I was hoping for something in the registry in the HKLM key, but I fear it is a setting that only exsists in the HKCU key.

Alright how about this? Is there a way to change the HKCU section of the registry for all the profiles on the PC when your logged in as an admin?

I been looking at WinGuides Tweak Manager and they let you select the reg file for each profile on the system and make changes. Is there a way to do this with windows its self?
