No, never read that article... Besides I'm not the only one in this thread to think that HIV won't eventually lead to AIDs. It may but I don't know that it's absolute...

I am not talking about the thousands of people currently "gaming the system" I am talking about the family of nine (who should not have kept having more kids....idiots) living in a small single-wide trailer in some trailer park that can't put food on the table. Mom works at Walmart, Dad works in construction and the kids don't have any medical/dental care or any clothes w/o holes..or any food on the table.. That's what I'm talking about.

Sorry, I tend to go off on tangents when I'm going on a 21-hour day. I'll try to be factual, ok?

1. Africa is in a horrible state right now, as millions of people have Aids, MANY of them children who did nothing wrong but be born with the disease
2. I feel badly about this, but my focus is on the USA right now. If I was African and lived there, my focus would be on Africa, but I don't and it's not.
3. The new "Anal AIDS Alfred" muppet WILL show up here in the USA before you can say "but it's good for our children!"
4. AIDS is spread thru sexual contact, intravenous drug use or blood transfusions. In Africa, 99% of it is thru sex.
5. Children here will not be taught the "different types of AIDS" ( you and i know there IS NO DIFF, but you know what I mean!!!!!!!) There's a big diff b/t a baby BORN with AIDS and a junkie hooker on the street that gets it...our children should know the diff, but they are too young.....

this is a bad idea and will bite us in the butt if it happens (or should I say, "when" it happens) here.

Yeah, I looked through it, couldn't find any references to any peer-reviewed studies supporting his position. All I know is that based on what the CDC and NIH say, and studies support, the HIV-AIDS link is scientifically clear. Whether you can get AIDS without ever having HIV is another story, but John Curtis Hunter @ prodigy can't and doesn't prove it on that page.


Just heard on CNN, that 75% of those in China are not aware that AIDS is contracted by a virus. That's scary...

and aids treatment for 3rd world countries is kinda a weird situation right now. we have no cure, just slightly temporary life extending drugs. now if you flood such countries with these drugs, it gives some people more time to infect others, making the situation possibly worse😛
