Noooo! This is pure evil. It's wrong in it's most basic form. Dont' hand me that feel-good liberal crap about "educating children as to the ways of the world and the "disabilities" that people have."
You shouldn't have AIDS in the first place, and if you DO, 99% of the time it's from unprotecting shagging or intravenous drug use. There are the one-in-a-million people that get it from a blood transfusion or accidental needle-stick (ala nurse or doctor) but those are rare.
What this will do is teach children that having AIDS is OK and acceptable. IT IS NOT ACCEPTABLE!!!! Damn the remnants of the Clinton administration.

HIV doesn't kill, AID's does... Just because you have HIV doesn't mean that you will eventually contract AIDs... or is it the other way around? 😕

Read the article. It's South-Africa, not the US.
And there are a huge number of girls there who got AIDS from being raped, South-Africa has one of the highest rape numbers in the world. (And subsequently also a lot of males get AIDS)

It's too bad that unprotected sex is a sin nowadays. Most people that have aids in the first world can expect to live a good long life, it's not so for people in the third world unfortunately. And the circumstances are much different there than they are here. Sex is natural, not everyone figures it could kill you.
I'm with the "glad I'm not a kid anymore, too confusing" bit though.

what you are saying is totally unacceptable. a lot of children have AIDS, and it was not the fault of the children. a large percentage of the time, a baby born from an HIV infected mother also gets HIV. are you saying they are unacceptable? are they evil? should children in sitations where they might meet an AIDS infected child just continue to think that these unfortunate children are somehow bad? a large percentage of the south african population has AIDS. it is well beyond the "you shouldn't have AIDS to begin with" point. children in these types of countries need to be educated about the consequences of AIDS and the people who have it, because AIDS is a part of their life whether they have it or not. sesame street is sticking to their self imposed mandate by doing this. you need to do a little bit of thinking, buddy.

Actually, my friend and I did a search, and found no conclusive proof that HIV will eventually lead to AIDs.

AIDS in africa is the equivalent of A Honda accord here in the USA...EVERyONE has it.... seriosuly...
without education, youngsters could miscontrue it for normal death....and after so many years and generations of this, It must be hard to explain...
