Hi, I'm using serv-U for the FTP program, and I have routed port 21 to my LAN ip, I have configured serv-U with my WAN ip, is there any other thing I should do? can someone please verify that my server works FTP

Thanks everyone

Forward ports 21 and 20 to the internal IP address of the computer hosting... not the external IP address your ISP gives you.

Also, configure Serv-U to listen on the internal IP address as that's what it will recognize. It won't see the external address and won't be able to listen on it.

thanks I just forwarded port 20, but how do I make servU listen to my internal IP, where is the option for that?

thanks

one more thing this is what it says at the Activity window:

so how do I make it listen to the internal ip, I have set the external ip in the passive feature of servU.

Go into the administrator console and select the domain you have the server running on. You should be able to set the internal IP there.
