There's just a lot of options I do not like that are turned on with SP2.

ie pop-up blocker
firewall/virus/windows update status alerts
download blocking
activex install blocking
javascript being disabled for .html files on the local computer
some automatic codec downloads blocked (despite coming from MS itself)
extra confirmation running .exe files

Just a lot of stuff like that which irritates me, sometimes have to hunt around a bit to find where the options are set.

But once all the security settings are reversed, you're going to be glad you installed SP2

Wow, I would call all of those good things. But for the advanced user I could see the frustration, but for normal users I'd hope they keep them on.

Uh, this is weird. You're saying it adds all that but you should reverse the settings? Why would I be glad I installed it if I disable all the features after? Hehe, doesn't make sense to me.

I have Zonealarm and only use web based email. So, me thinks it's a waste of CPU power. I want mine for gaming. 😉
