Everyone. And it isn't necciserily a memory problem. If it is, WTFBBQ IS WRONG WITH ANANDTECH? Shouldn't they be swimming in sample sticks?

The memory gods don't take well to sarcasm. I should know, when questioning someone about "how long does it take to encode... forever?", I got fvcked 6 hours into the process by my RAM.

Well, my meter was broken which is why I responded sarcastically. Then I countered my broken meter by responding saracastically again.
 
The memory gods already DMITB. The 512MB stick I had in my powerbook caused it to lock up. :|

The mammary gods on the other hand have been extremely good to me recently. 😀

it needs a reboot more than anything else. Since they run this stuff off off 2k3 servers (im guessing), i woud suspect memory leaks in either the apps and or IIS that take up all the available ram to the point where the asp VM can't spawn more threads to process the http requests.

Servers dont run outta RAM outta blue ... plus im sure the machiens that host the AT forusm (its loadballanced between 3 servers to my best recollection) are decked out in terms of physical ram

Either reboot the windoze box, check your code for leaks or switch to a more stable platform

Yep, it's definitely a memory leak since it happens every so often.
 
Ehhh, it's not so bad... makes things interesting. It's kind of like the lottery, will it happen or will you just be crap outta luck.

I recommend rebooting the server once or getting rid of all unnecessary programs. That should reset any memory leaks and free up memory. Maybe a fresh windows format is in order assuming it's running windows..or is it a Mac?
