wow, thanks for the detailed information. My first question would be, have you sacrified a virgin goat to the lag gods?

We're always eager to help here at Anandtech ;). Try unplugging everything from your router and disable the wireless access point; then plug just your x-box into the router, connect up and see how it goes. Whether or not the lag is gone will give an indication of where the problem is.

I think Brazen is on to something. Your neighbors are prolly leaching all your bandwidth via wireless.

I think that is quite possible, yes. Although, it could also be one of his computers has gotten malware that is eating all the bandwidth, or his switch is going bad, or if he has cable internet it could just be that a bunch of people have signed up that are on his line.

Just have to wait and see when/if the OP posts his results.

First you have to try to forget that it worked well for time it does not work Now so something is wrong.

Step 1. Computer by itself connected to the Broadband modem.

If No Good check Network settings and Optimize the connection.

If still No Good call the ISP.

Step 2. When Single computer Good while directly connected to the Modem, plug back the Router and try again.

If No good check all Router?s settings especially the Router?s Keep Always Alive and MTU settings.

If Bo Good you might consider getting a New Router.

Step 3. If Good plug the Xbox, if bad with the X-Box, and the configuration is OK, borrow an X-Box from friend to rule out problematic X-Box.

If Good then problem solved.
