Server question

I've just recently built a server, and I have a couple of questions that I'm hopin' the good folks at AT can answer for me.

1.) What is the easiest (and preferably cheapest) way to setup my network so that my family can remote in and DL my music/videos? They aren't the savviest folks out there, mind you.

2.) Also, is there an app that allows me and/or my family to stream the server's content to their own systems?

Thanks-

1. stream or download? and how much bandwidth do you have to give up (mb/sec;total cap?)
2. orb tversity windows media center (Connect/live mesh); if they use mac's then streamtome works awesome one of the best, just no client for android or pc; only IOS/OSX 🙁

Thanks for the response-

I'm on 20mb/sec; I'd like to stream and download, if possible... but I'd settle for DL.

What about just copying off of my server? to their local machine?

filezilla has a nice encrypted client and server that is free. just open up ftp port, setup encrypted ftp and they can go to town leeching off you. use no-ip.com for free dns if your ip changes. remember bandwidth caps hurt.

see #2 for streaming. the best solution is mac client based imo.
