Just curious has anyone played with converting server power supply to regular ATX home pc? I know the guys at rcgroup have converted them for RC use and i have not seen anyone try it for pc.
I know with what they have there, it looks like this can be done as an additional PSU for harddrive cdrom as an option eliminating buying/upgrading your current PSU especially if your work are decommissioning old servers.
there is a lot of server PSU in EBAY with lots of power certainly cheaper than the real thing if they can be converted safely.
