Server/Network Management Software

Is there any free/inexpensive applications that are good for managing infrastructure? I'm not talking about managing the servers themselves, just the topology.

ex. I want an app where I can detail every server on the network, every switch, etc. and then display it as a diagram (2d/3d). I'd want to list everything important about the server. Hostname, ip's, nics, hdd's, raid config, OS, installed apps, special config info, shares, etc. etc.

Then as I add entries, it can build relationships, display relationship info in charts, etc.

Any recommendations?

Um, how did I get up on top?

I think Spiceworks does this for free.

Spiceworks does the job, as long as you and your company are okay with it phoning home with details of all nodes on your network.

Nagios for me. it is a little complicated at first, but their core suite with different front ends is pretty effective.
