Server - build or buy?

I need to put a new server into my workplace. It will serve up a few network apps, do file sharing, that sort of thing. Would I be better of building my own or buying a Dell? Basically it would consist of a dual-core processor, a couple primary drives in raid plus a backup, and Small Business 2003.

Buy Dell or HP with a 3 year next bus day service agreement. You can build too but have to use server hardware (mobo ecc ram ps etc.) - but you will need to run it as a standby unit 24/7 for at least 3 months before using it as the main server. Why bother?

Get a new server. Lease don't buy.

basically if you even have to ask this question, don't buy your own, go with dell or hp as the guy already said
