Hi,

In our office we have a Dell Poweregde 1600 SC server running WIN 2003, now all the servers shutdown in the night and reboot in the morning, but this particular server alone does not automatically reboot we have to turn it on manually. We contacted Dell support but they are saying that this server cannot boot automatically because it's bios does not have that feature.

Is there any other way to fix this problem

Are you powering down the servers and then expecting them to power back up at some future time? You may be able to use a wake on LAN function to handle this one server if it has that capability. This would require enabling the feature and then scheduling the send of a magic packet to the server from another system.

I dont there is a way, there might be what they call a RAC power edge remote access card, but I remember the older one did not support time reboots, etc..

What happens is the server shuts down at 11pm and at 5 am the ups goes down, at 6 am the UPS turns on and all the servers boot at that time, except this server. Maybe i can try the wake on lan and see
