Server 2003 and CALs

I got a valid copy of Server 2003 and installed it. When I did, there was a place to choose how many CALs I wanted. I left it at 5 which I believe is what comes with it but I could have chosen 10, 20, or more.

If I choose more than 5, what happens? Should I have chosen the 15 I need or will I be asked to buy 10 CALS in 30 days?

You need to buy 10 more cals, not simply 'change it' now.
