serv-u problems

no user can log into my ftp server. I have just set it up, and all the settings appear to be fine. Any suggestions?

208.62.145.168 this is the ip address. it wont allow any users to log on. this includes me, and im the administrator. im new at serv-u, and as far as i can see everything in my settings looks good. do you have any suggestions?if you want i gave you the account, blahblah, and the password blah. if you can see if you can log into it.

Uhh, I can't even ping 208.62.145.168. Check your IP again...

I dont get anything when I try connecting to the IP above using port 21. Your not behind a firewall are you?

there is my problem. no matter what i do it wont accept any username or passwords. im stumped

Are you sure the account is setup properly? You might have setup a group and not a user account.

I had similar problems. No one could log onto my FTP. That was until I registered the darn thing. Then suddenly, it worked like a charm.

yeah im sure. i have no groups setup. only users. i tried to access the ftp from the command prompt and it never even asked for a username. it wouldnt let me in.
