lol... maybe I should have made it more obvious. I'm too lazy for MS paint

It was immediately obvious to me. And I just woke up. Happy New Year!

As for the window AC unit on a van, that's a first for me, never seen it before. Don't they have ac units specifically for vehicles like mobile homes? And how does he power it? AC inverter? Nuts.

Sure, when they are camping and can run a generator or off line power. Also, a home A/C unit of the size needed for a van is a lot cheaper than a vehicle unit.

I drove through there a few years ago and recognized the scene. I think that same van was sitting there at the light.

I hope it wasn't when classes were in session, otherwise, I'm sure you thoroughly enjoyed the worst traffic in america.

I've seen a fully-converted school bus with a few AC's hanging from the windows.

Then again....I live in Berkeley. This is not uncommon.

Haha that is awesome, and some half decent thought has actually gone into it. Flashing, ducting etc. I would have insulated the duct though. :p

I wonder if that thing can even survive out in the rain though, they're not really meant to be completely outside.

Don't most,if all vehicles have AC in them anyway though? I find even in the hottest summer days it usually does a decent job at cooling down the car fairly fast. If it's broken probably cheaper to fix then to have that setup. (ok maybe not in the case of that article, looks like they were trying to rip him)

My little VW Polo doesn't have AC. This is my first summer with the car, it's... unpleasant.
