Seriously what is the deal with Tornado fuel saver?

This little piece of metal costs $70. They have people on TV not only laying witness to the increase in their mileage, but also at one point they throw an SUV on a dino and see a 200 to 210+ horsepower change from the Tornado. Obviously the damn thing doesn't work, so how do they continue to get away with that?

You got hope that this POS works right? Just like playing the Lotto: "Nah, I won't win anyways" but you actually have a very little hope that you win 😉

Your results will vary. These tests were completed in a laboratory under test conditions. Mileage improvements, if any, vary widely depending on driving habits and the model, engine, and condition of the vehicle.

No I'm really quite sure it doesn't work. Looks like a piece of useless junk. So how do they keep running these ads? Has ANYTHING ever gained from the tornado? It probably slows airflow

Can you really believe ANY infomercial?
Did that electronic pest repeller really get rid of your mice or was it that psychotic grandfather with the 12 gauge?
What if you had a deaf mouse would it affect him?

They get away with it because legally they aren't saying the product really does a damn thing. Plus people will buy ANYTHING.
I could take a dump, put it in a sandwich bag, label it exotic ostrich poo and sell it for $50/bag and claim it will make you look up to 10 years younger.

How does faith healing work, the power of prayer, miracles, etc.? The human mind is a powerful thing, often times a stong enough belief will bring fantasy into reality.

The FTC finally told all of the 'engine additive or treatment' companies to 'show us the research to back your claims' or cease and desist from making those claims. You notice now that there are only 2 companies who continue to advertise their product on television, the rest chose to stop advertising on television rather than stand behind their claims, and even the two left have materially changed the claims they make in their advertising.
