I've been doing a lot of things outside my apartment. Mainly work, but i got out to eat outside and shop around often. I don't know, maybe I'll try to hang around the tea places and borders more often with my lappy. I've rather go to the gym though since I like to stay active. I tried to go paintball with people, but a lot of them are too young or immature..

Okay, work doesn't count. You're on a coop so all the wimmenz at work understand you're a temporary thing. I mean, you might get lucky and find that damaged one to spend the summer with, but I'd advise against it.
You do need to make eye contact and try to start up conversations and interact and stuff when you're out. You don't need to make a nuisance of yourself, but maybe set a goal of 2 to 5 women each day. Do that and be persistent and see how it pans out?
I've met quite a few women at the book store without really trying. I know it works.
There's a thread on meeting girls at the gym in the ATL&R section. I haven't read it because I'm under the impression that meeting women at the gym is pretty much a no-go. I go there, I do my thing, and I leave. I'm thinking that it's going to creep women out if I start scamming on them at the gym.
How about rock climbing? If there's an indoor place near Irvine, that's a good way to meet women. Rock climbing is pretty social and women are often better at it and if you don't know what you're doing, you can be like their damsel in distress.
How about surf lessons? It's pretty expensive, but I'm thinking it's tough not to meet people that way. (Find an adult class, not a childrens class... unless you're into that.)

If you're Asian and over 21, go to DnB's @ Spectrum on Thursday and it'll be hella asian.
Or you could always rush a frat at UCI (Lambdas, SAE, Phi Psi, or Pike).
And there's a lot of pick up games (indoor soccer, bball, racquetball, badminton) at the ARC (at UCI). I workout at the ARC every other day so maybe you can catch me around.

My friends that live down here are still in school so no one is here. I'm like losing my mind. How do you just meet people to hang out with or whatever? I feel like however you do it, it'll be awkward because they have their own click already.....
Also, are there any gyms near irvine that regularly have more asian people going to them?
Sounds like a disaster to me, way too much effort in cleaning up required, and they don't always respect your property.Originally posted by: spidey07

That get's my vote. That's how I meet all kinds of people and have made many friends.
Plus throwing a party and telling people "bring whoever you like, as long as they aren't jackasses."
