Serious Sam 2 - What a good game for $19.99.

have only played the demo for this one, but the full version of the first game was so fun and nutty! there were parts on "serious" difficulty that were just so insane i had to do coop with a buddy to beat!

What if you already have Half-Life? It's still too much $$ anyways..it's been out for ages - it should be $15 by now...
 
I just finished playing it and it is awesome. At $20, it's a steal. The level design is a lot more interesting than the first one and there's some cool new features.

Buy this game if you haven't already.
 
I took my copy back on Saturday - doesn't run on my machine (I think its either because of my Matrox G400 graphics card or Windows 2000). I would get up to the initial loading screen and when it says 'Precaching resources' it just sits there at 100%.

I wouldn't also run on my friends similar spec'ed machine (same graphics card and OS), although it would load on his machine, after playing for a few minutes the screen would freeze.

Shame really because it looks like a good game 🙁
 
Mitzi, I would say it's the graphics card. I use win2k and it runs fine. The requirements say you have to have an OpenGL compatible card. Are there even OpenGL drivers for the Matrox?

Back to the subject, I just picked it up yesterday at Best Buy for $15 and it's definitely worth it! Fun game 🙂.
 
Anyone play this co-op yet? When I picked up a couple of copies last year, I setup a dedicated server, my brother came over and we beat it with some people playing on my net server. It was a blast for those couple of hours! Did anyone finish it yet either? I know the story stuff isn't much, but its just a blast to fire at everything that moves.

the game to get atm is MOHAA, it is one of the best fps iv seen since ut🙂
 
Tha antics and secrets are fun. The engine is a beaut. Great game for 20 bucks.

I cannot believe they even made Mental Mode...I passed Serious (by using God o/c) just to try out Mental.

Has anyone passed Serious or (even) mental w/o cheating or dying a jillion times?
 
Here's a tip for the people who want the most FPS on their boxes while playing. Setup a dedicated server on a second computer! Its actually pretty easy and their documentation tells you exactly how to do it. I played a little bit with the game on my box, but when I ran dedicated, it was even smoother.

Also, the dedicated is almost needed when running co-op mode. Try this game in co-op, with a dedicated on the mental difficulty and its pretty insane.

i dont see how anyone can get past the last level before you fight the boss, there are a $hitload of enemies you have to fight. i got all the way there without god mode but i died a friggen million times i had to use the cheat to get past that level.

 
It's a steal for $20. Loaded it up on the 3 computers here all on a LAN and just spending countless hours in cooperative multiplayer.

Have you ran Serious Sam 2 using this card? What drivers are you using?

If you could enable you instant messaging I would love to talk to you further about this problem - I wanna play Serious Sam 2!!!

I have tried the latest stable drivers and also the beta drivers. Serious Sam (the first one) works fine on my machine.
