Do any of you ever get a weird taste (I can't describe it) in your mouth that affects everything that you eat, drink, even when you brush teeth that comes and goes. . .

My wife says she does not notice anything weird (smell etc). . .

It happens regularly to me and I don't know really how to describe it other than what I just said. . .

Anyone else know about something like this?

hahah - no, it just comes and goes. Everything will taste like it for a while. . .

I don't know if I should even mention it to my doc next checkup, seems strange. Maybe it is just me getting old. I did turn 30 recently.

I'm no doctor, but I've read that that can be a symptom of certain diseases or brain tumors.

I should put that in my original post - but it persists even after that. That is what is really odd. Usually listerene blanks everything out in a mouth :p

That happens to me as result of chronic sinus problems.

I remember hearing about something similiar.

I believe you can actually get peices of past meals stuck or tucked away in the back of your neck/throat/mouth that can sit there for quite awhile.

I'm guessing this could be a symptom.

Yah. When I'm sick with a cold, there's a bitter taste. God is very cruel.

What I would say to do is to get on a oral hygiene regiment. Brush twoice a day for at least 5 mins each time (watch tv or something to make it easier), floss doing a good job and doing it slowly, also bruch your tongue. Next time you are at the dentists office mention this (if the taste persists). He/she may want to put you on a chlorohexadine rinse. Its a prescription mouth wash that kills most of harmful the bacteria in your mouth (listerine dosen't do jack).

Do your teeth ever hurt you. It sound like you may have some sort of infection draining into your mouth. It can either be from an infected tooth or from your allergies (most likely).

But like I said do the oral hygiene thing first and if it persists go see a dentist to rule out a oral cavity problem. If non of this works you may want to see an allergy specialist or an ENT.

Sorry for the babbeling I hope this is helpful.
