If you're worried about it, you should eat more fiber (both soluble and insoluble). It shouldn't be hard - that insinuates constipation. It shouldn't be too soft - that insinuates diarrhea. It should be easily mobilized and cause no pain. Regularly.
There's no pain. I'm pretty regular, but it is fairly solid. I don't really mind, though.. it's always nice to get it all with just one wipe.. ha ha ha.
Stress and anxiety are common causes of chronic poor stool issues. I get Diarreah when stressed, others get constipated. When I'm at ease, it's sort of like a mushy string that comes out and spirals down almost like you would ice cream on an ice cream cone.
Some of that has to do w/ a high fiber diet and coffee.
If your stools are short little balls, then that means you are dehydrated. If they are long and do not clump, you are constipated. As most have already said, eating fiber should help remedy the situation.
