I just bought all new components to build a system which were:
Epox 8k3a+, 256 kingmax ram, winfast geforce 2, sb live, and a dlink network card.

I am having lots of troubles installing my copy of windows xp, i get a missing 'luna.mst' while installing, blue screens and unknown hardware which doesn't pass the logo test.

Does anyone know any compatibility issues, i had windows 2000 installed but had video crashes.

From what I've been reading in here that install problems can be related to a bad memory stick. Try another, borrow one from a friend or something like that, or RMA it.

I feel you pain.. Been there done that... bad memory can make it a tough. I usually get memory address unstable or cant access 00015500.fffll or some such stateing that it cant address a local in ram...

That could be your problem bad ram.

I would remove all devices (disconnect them) except the cd rom , harddrive, video card.. and try an install
I would then install each addition item ie: sound card etc.. one device at a time. to determine if one particular device is giving you the head ache..

Good Luck .. if the minimal install method listed above dont work.. borrow a stick of ram from you best buddy
and try that .. 🙂
