I'm going to buy a new PC and found the ASUS A8N SLI Deluxe attractive. I'm making this choice in order to use my new PC for a few years. But the question is: where is the serial port? Do I have to stop using Internet (through my 56k external modem connection)? Because where I live, it's the only available option.
So how can I connect my modem to the motherboard?
New technologies should not forget old ones because you can't erase everything like this just because you think that everybody must use all the latest ones. Sometimes you have no choice. So don't let behind 90% of the world.
 
Don't worry, it comes with a PCI bracket which fills up one of the pci slots on the back of the case. It's one of those brackets that you just attach a small plug onto the motherboard rather than an actual PCI card. I don't use it personally, I doubt many do, but if you need to it's there.
