Serial port problem

I have a laptop that the serial port is not compatible with Windows 2000. Is there any way to upgrade from Win 98, where the serial port works, to 2000 and still use the Win 98 drivers? And yes, I did check with the manufacturer.

Sorry, the answer is no. The drivers are not compatible. Try dogpile or google and see if someone on the web elsewhere has found something.

What model laptop? And what do you mean by 'not compatible' ? Laptop manufacturer doesn't have Win2000 drivers out for it?
