Quebec is very safe :p

Im not scared at all to live here.In fact, in the news, they announce that SHE IS very scared of getting out of prison because she's affraid of getting killed etc.

She hate all the attention of media around her, and she will have to deal with this for the rest of her life.

She isnt a threat anymore, because of the past that will follow her.

I was just watching on the news... they were interviewing officials in Canada who were saying that she shows absolutely no remorse what-so-ever. And that according to head doctors, she has not changed at all.... they were saying that left unchecked, they strongly believe that she will find another Paul Bernardo and do the same thing again.

Just goes to show that different sides say different things.

She indeed feel no remorse. But saying that she didnt change havent been prove here.Psychiatrics here claim shes now mentally correct and can be release. But she might have fake and pass those test.

Claiming tho she will do the same thing with another Bernado is total media BS tho.She is so scared atm that they might have to deguise her into someone else to let her out of prison, so all the media can miss her.

ATM the poor girl ( yeah haha :laugh;) is very scared.

But HEy who know, maybe i WILL MEET HER haha! :D and hell yeah id hit her

and yet about 2 weeks ago, she was parading around saying that she did not feel threatened for her life and was not worried about leaving prison.
hmm..
so is this the media talking?

honestly, someone will figure it out, and she will be dealt with...wether that is good or bad, it will happen.
she will not have time to reoffend.
:S

the incidents happened in ontario (st catherines), she was in ontario prisons for a while and then finished her prison stay in quebec. she was cut a deal of 12 years bc the crown did not think they had enough to convict then-husband of the murders. they effed up, and after they made the deal found evidence which would have sent her to prison along side bernardo for life +++.
however, at the time, it was what the crown had to do - time is limited in such cases and they need to act asap and get what they can.

sad sad...and sickening.

I predict a hit on her by the Hell's Angels. They control a lot of the organized crime in Quebec and Ontario and I believe that they will be paid off to end this woman's life. I don't think they can do anything to effectively protect her from society - she's screwed!

And why did she only get 12 years for three murders?

Two reasons:

1. She made a deal with the cops to testify against her husband, who received a life sentence.

2. The prosecuters bought her story, in that she only commited the crimes because her husband threatened her.

Also had the crown prosecutors received the tapes much sooner from Bernado's ex lawyer, both of them would be serving a life in prison sentence.

The crimes were committed in Ontario, and I'm pretty sure that's where the trial was held. She just went to prison in Qubec. I believe it was a type of plea deal, because she testified against her former husband.
that is what i have read, too, that she went along with these crimes as a result of fear from her abusive husband.
she also plea bargained and testified against him.

not saying what she did was right, but i do think that is why she got a lighter sentence
while her husband is serving life.

Read the above link MarklarMarklar posted. She wasn?t abused till much later. In the beginning she found victims for Paul Bernado as presents. Her sister being the Christmas present. That link will tell you what kind of a monster she really is. The battered wife syndrome is BS because it (abuse) happened much later.

She used to work at a veterinary clinic, and that's where she got the drugs to use on her victims. I remember the pictures in the paper after her husband beat her with a toaster oven or something. She looked like a racoon.

It's messed up. The prison she was in was a joke. She was allowed to communicate with another killer in prison, and they sent love letters and pictures to each other. She was also able to get a taxpayer-funded university education. I doubt she is going to be able to lead a normal life.

No, because it's Quebec. Their system is different from the rest of Canada.

And just where did you get this gem ?

You twit ......she was tried and convicted in Ontario where the crimes were commited. She was eventually moved to a prison in Quebec. The province had nothing to do with her sentence or probation.

Pretty harsh response there. Though part of what the poster you were replying to said was correct. Quebec does have a different legal system than the rest of Canada.

I say she is dead within a week of getting out. I hope she is dead within the hour. I hope it takes the full hour to die.

Understandable, here's the first page:

All For Love

It was all too good to be true. In 1990, Karla was engaged to a handsome, sophisticated professional accountant with money. It was going to be an incredible wedding: one that her family and friends would never forget.

She loved Paul very much. He was so unique and so very wild in bed. She would do absolutely anything to keep his love ? anything at all.

What made this situation a little different than most engagements is that for several years Paul made outrageous demands on Karla ? and Karla, just as outrageously, agreed to them.

Paul & Karla

Paul was very annoyed that Karla was not a virgin when he met her. It was, therefore, from his point of view, her responsibility to make it possible for Paul to take the virginity of Karla's pretty younger sister Tammy without her knowledge or consent. Once Karla accepted that logic, the rest was easy, even the idea of videotaping the whole thing seemed to make sense to her. After all, videotaping was a way to remember important events.

Karla worked in a veterinary clinic so she had a rudimentary knowledge of sedatives used for animals. The trick was figuring out what and how much to use to knock out Tammy so that Paul could rape her. Eventually, she decided on using halothane, an anesthetic which animals inhale before surgery.

The sad thing is that taxpayers are going to be paying for her protection upon leaving prison. I say just feed her to the wolves. She doesn't deserve any better.

anyone who thinks she is rehabbed, and a new person, and not a threat to anyone, is a moron

both she and her 'husband' should be dead, period. They are exhibit 1A for why the death penalty, when properly applied, is a good thing

Holy crap, she appeared on Canadian interview pleading to be left alone, and she doesn't look ANYTHING like she use to. Maybe it's the new haircut, but i've seen her pics thousands of times and i didn't recognize her when i had my TV muted.
