Serial Experiments Lain

How many are there? I watched like 8 of them last night while I was working and the first ones were pretty boring but the last one or two picked up a little.

13 i think... i caught the last 3 last night on techtv.
 
not an anime fan - I sat through about 8 of them. It was interesting, but not interesting enough to watch the last 5. I still haven't found any anime that I like. Fell asleep watching Ghost in the Shell, and one other one I tried to watch, but I can't remember it's name.
 
Most of the series is waste except for the episodes ("layers") around 8-10 or so, where the Knights characters get fleshed out and Lain's creator (Masami Eiri) is revealed and confronted. Oh, and of course the theme song 🙂

I much prefered "Ghost in the Shell."
