Serial ATA DVD Burner?

I'm putting together an all Serial ATA PC and was wondering if any of the big manufacturers have ANY optical drives in Serial ATA format?

Thoughts?

Not that I know of. However, for approximately $20, you can get a PATA to SATA converter. Also, you need to make sure that you can connect SATA devices other than hard drives to your motherboard. Some don't support CD/DVD drives, etc.

Yeah, you'd need to go the converter route. Make sure the case you're putting it in can accomodate the converter, though, as it's pretty bulky.
