What's next? My vote is for E.T. 2 and E.T. turns out to actually be Thor with a costume on (why do you think Thor can fly?), and it magically morphs into Avengers 15 where they battle Galactus to stop him from devouring Earth for energy.

Meh, was never really a big fan of the original even though I do enjoy most Cruise movies. Looks like he's back, so I may check this out.

I heard the plot was based on Val Killmer reaching critical mass and splitting via mitosis into two copies of Iceman - both of whom team up on Maverick in the shower after an intense volleyball game.

GTFO :p

Topgun 2: The Drone Wars

I wish movies would go back to being about cool things instead of things that are just trending.

I remember back in the first few years of hi-fi "home entertainment systems" it was almost a requirement that any shop you went to to audition equipment would use Top Gun as their demo material-especially when the jets go zooming by.

I've enjoyed a fair few Tom Cruise movies as well, but I tried to watch Top Gun for the first time a few years ago... gah, what a cringe fest. If I had first seen it in my very early teens then I might have enjoyed it.

For some reason, I think I've seen like 5 threads about this over the last 2 years.

Ohhh cooooommmmmonnn! Can't they just leave a movie alone? It's okay to have a stand alone movie Hollywood. And it's about drones? LOL. Way to be totally subservient to the latest cultural meme. Their only goal it seems it to cash out on nostalgia, it's pathetic. Is there nothing original anymore?

What's next? Back to the Future 4?
