I bet these Jeans get banned in the U.S.

12-30-2005 'Devilish' Jeans a Hot Seller in Sweden

STOCKHOLM, Sweden - Cheap Monday jeans are a hot commodity among young Swedes thanks to their trendy tight fit and low price, even if a few buyers are turned off by the logo: a skull with a cross turned upside down on its forehead.

"It is an active statement against Christianity," Atldax told The Associated Press. "I'm not a Satanist myself, but I have a great dislike for organized religion."

The label's makers say it's more of a joke, but Atldax insists his graphic designs have a purpose beyond selling denim: to make young people question Christianity, a "force of evil" that he blames for sparking wars throughout history.

"One cannot just keep quiet about this," said the Rev. Karl-Erik Nylund, vicar of St. Mary Magdalene Church in Stockholm. "This is a deliberate provocation (against Christians) and I object to that."

Nylund complained that Swedish companies do not treat Christianity with the same respect in marketing that they afford other religions.

"No one wants to provoke Jews or Muslims, but it's totally OK to provoke Christians," he said.

Cheap Mondays have started to sell abroad. The jeans are being shipped to Norway, Denmark, Britain, the Netherlands, France and Australia. Andersson said they're working on introducing them in the United States and elsewhere.

How do we get our Government back from the Church???

8-14-2005 Thousands Fill Church for 'Justice Sunday'

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Thousands of people filled a church Sunday night for Justice Sunday for supporting justices who don't have radical liberal agendas.

"We've seen a conservative president get re-elected, the conservative Congressional base expand. The (Supreme) Court is part of a cultural problem," said Tony Perkins, president of the Family Research Council, the organization responsible for "Justice Sunday II: God Save the United States and this Honorable Court!"

The second in a series of demonstrations televised for broadcast at churches across the country included in its list of planned speakers U.S. House Majority Leader Tom DeLay, Focus on the Family founder James Dobson and conservative Christian activist Phyllis Schlafly.

Perkins said the rally was intended to help educate evangelical Christians about the Supreme Court and to encourage them to talk to friends and elected officials about what they want for the Court.

Mike Miller, 54, of Gallatin who attended the rally, said he believes Supreme Court justices try to create laws with their rulings instead of interpreting the Constitution.

"Activist justices ? we're trying to find out what we can do to stop that activity," he said. "Our laws are based on the Ten Commandments."

U.S. House Majority Leader Tom DeLay, R-Texas, speaks during the 'Justice Sunday II' broadcast in Nashville, Tenn., Sunday, Aug. 14, 2005. The program was designed by the Family Research Council to educate voters on how the courts affect the every day lives of Americans.

Well the Republican and Religious brainwashing has made it down the the next generation.

The Country is ultimately destined down the same fate as the last years under the Bush Regime.

It will only get worse and continue downward from here:

7-31-2005 US 13-year-olds are fairly conservative - It might surprise their parents, but in the age of graphic lyrics and violent video games, American children entering their teens remain very cautious about sex and dating and still trust their parents and church.

63 percent consider their religious faith at least somewhat important in their lives.

Time magazine reports that sixty percent of the 500 surveyed by the magazine are against sex before marriage, and 63 percent believe they are too young to date at their age.

This deserves it's own thread and it should be the next movement in this Country to knock the piss down of the escalting tactics and braziness.

Not saying, Hate or calling for Ban, just for the Religion to be put back in where it belongs, in the Church and stay there.

Topic Summary: And should the government recognize a cult as a religion.

The U.S. Government already recognizes a cult as a religion and has given it full control of the Government.

Son a biatch - Christian Coalition just called my cell phone costing me money for inbound call.

This Country better rise up to this Bullsh!t and NOW!!!

Edit: Wow, The word Anti and Christian really ruffles feathers eh?
Try reading, I said "Not calling for a Ban or Hate, just should be put back where belongs, in Church".

No one suggested what would be more "acceptable" wording, just attack and not address the issue or topic brought up as usual.

I could care less if they preach it from every mountaintop as long as it does not affect my lifestyle and family.

Well, they are getting into politics. Massing voters through religions. Eventually policymakers will make policy favor those of the religions. They should keep their preaching where it belongs...the church

why not? there are plenty of anti-muslim tripe in here.

I generally steer clear of christians in real life myself and have disdain for their hypocricy and hive mind, people are plain downright sick of the holier then thou crap.

espiclly when it leads to wars and whacked out idealogies that crap on those they assume

are evil becasue of some ancient text.

Like there hates deserves a minute of rational contemplation before being shrugged off as more backwards thinking,

these that wish to return us to the dark ages of superstitious violence and self-made barriers as the human race just takes it's first baby steps into a bright future free of their intolerance.

Ready to fire up the stake again in here I see.... burn him! burn the witch!
so predictable

This thread is total flamebait though, this place has too many backwoods sorts who haven't left the insecurity of their own spiritual cradles... you know this will never fly.

Try it in the politicsforum.org, they are a bit more beyond the average podunk american mindset here and can handle it without getting in a tizzy.

remember this is a american forum, baaaaby steps, some of these people can't handle too much outside their sheltered box at a time.

You can't limit the fundie question to one thread. It permeates everything and the superstition needs to be countered everwhere and at all times.

there is a gigantic line between being anti-christian (which is, to paraphrase Slaughterhouse-5, about as useful as writing an anti-glacier thread)
christianity or any religion is not sentient. it is not a creature at which any sort of hate should be directed. there may be specific people or even actions of the Church that we may disagree with or even despise (for example, the reaction of the catholic church to claims of molestation within their own church was not responded to appropriatly - my opinion, of course)
your issue is with a very specific group of people who i happen to disagree with as well...but using words carelessly like this will not help your cause or help to create discussion.

if it gets bad enough my family has passports ready...matter of fact this was the first thing we did after the election..

I look at it this way, at least our famlies got a few good generations away from the christian fanatical types. -all good things come to an end sooner or later.

Who knows, maybe they will all march themselves off to some holy war against the muslims like they are so ready for and then we can come back to a sane america.

Actually, immaturity & puerility often seem prerequisites of said status; if he should have it revoked it's because he doesn't make personal attacks or resort to namecalling enough.

True, the Founding Fore Fathers thought about it but didn't pull the trigger.

It is clear by the actions of the Religious running the Country now that a Consitutional Ammendent putting in what they failed to do over 200 years ago is now in order because the Religous are abusing the Constitution.

I think it's more we failed the founding fathers rather then the ideal they set up failing us besides the fact that a lot of it is of course very outdated.

We sure don't see Jews, Muslims, Wiccans, Buddhists, etc. trying to force their belief system into our civil laws. And, most Christians don't identify with the radical extremists but that minority of radical extremists is very vocal and they already have people in power, including the Congress and White House.

The pendulum swings from left to right
the metronome dazzles your clouded sight.
Our forefathers giggle in absurd delight
and everything soon will be put aright.
