Separating kittens - will they miss each other?

Will kittens get attached to each other / miss each other if they're separated early on?

They're 8 weeks old and I might have to return one of them (the girl).

They're brother & sister...

If it'll distress them then I won't even consider it but I'm wondering if it'll matter while they're young?

What do you mean "starting on the dog"? I'd keep them both. My 2 enjoy each other's company. They were from a litter of 4. A buddy of mine took 2, and I took 2.

If the kittens form a bond then it is wrong to seperate them. A kitten i know had a traumatic start in life and has formed a bond with a rottweiler. The hate being seperated.

Two little birds that were nearly murdered when they were babies, The pair have a very strong bond and get very very upset when seperated. They are awesome intelligent little birds, <--- (more of my gfs pets)

She'll stop when she gets a little older. That's just what small kittens do, they attack everything.

My buddy that I was talking about who got the 2 kittens from the litter has a room mate with a dog. Nobody particularly likes the dog, including it's owner. The female cat hates it, and will go out of her way to smack it when she gets a chance(the dog's deaf, so surprise attacks are fairly easy :^D). The male cat loves the dog, and they're best friends. They'll sleep together, and groom each other. It's cool that the dog has someone(something?) that gives a shit about it :^)
