How do I set Symantec Endpoint to disable the use of thumb drives across the network? I created the policy with the USBSTOR*.* Device ID. I applied the policy to my computers container and yes I STILL can use USE devices.. HELP!!!

Hi,

I am Chetan Savade from Symantec Technical Support team.

It's very easy to achieve please go through the following articles.

1) How to block USB Thumb Drives and USB Hard Drives, but allow specific USB Drives in the Application and Device Control Policy in Symantec Endpoint Protection

http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH106304&locale=en_US

2) How to block USB flash drives while allowing other USB devices.

http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH104299&locale=en_US

If above articles couldn't help then need to check which SEP features are installed at end machines.

Thanks and Regards,
