Thanks both of you. Ordered one to keep back-up HD tray in at night at the office. Free standard shipping also!

I also ordered one. There's another one which is slightly bigger and comes in Blue (not that the color matters) and after the coupon it comes to $19.99 shipped. I picked up one of those. The larger one fits 8.5 by 11 paper in it, which makes it a little more useful then the smaller one.

Note that these fire safes are rated for PAPER temperatures.

Media melts or distorts and is damaged at a much lower temperature.

I would NOT store your backups at the same location even with this fire safe.

Thanks for posting. I picked up the larger one that will fit most paper (including A4) documents. $20...very reasonable price, shipped! Especially since these things are heavy.

Sweet, just picked one up. Been looking for one of these. Man, I love this place. I just hope it doesn't send me to the poor house.

Don't think that software or media will not melt and be ruined in a fire.

The main thing a safe like this is for is paperwork.

Sentry Fire-Safe Media Chests and
Files
Important information is saved in an
ever-increasing number of formats,
including sensitive computer and
audio/visual media. While paper chars
at 450 º F (232 º C), damage to
computer media can occur at
temperatures as low as 125 º F (52 º
C). The interior of a Fire-Safe Media
Chest or File remains well below this
damage level during an average fire.

I've never been in an "average fire." All I know is that anything in these safes made of plastic will melt when a building burns down. Let me know if you find out differently from personal experience.

Anyone get it yet? Haven't heard a thing and was wondering how they are shipping it.
