Sent PM not showing up in the "Sent Messages" section ?

I've noticed latley that when I send a PM, it does not show up as being being "sent" in the "sent messages section of the my user control panel ?

Does the new forum software not automatically save sent message to the sent section like the old forum ?

All I have in the :sent section" in a bunch of imported messages from when the forum made the switch.
