Hope this is the right spot for this question. I bought a 4TB XPG SSD a year ago and it worked great up until November when it started to drop off Disk Manager and File Explorer randomly. Happened with two different motherboards so Adata said to start the RMA process. Shipped it out on 24 Dec, received an email stating they received it on 30 Dec, and then crickets. I've tried calling all the numbers I can find, I've tried using their chat feature (which has never worked and just directs me to send a message and someone will get back with me), and I've emailed their support address. I've tried all of those options multiple times. The only response I have received so far is the original RMA email with instructions and the email stating they'd received my drive.

I'm at wits end with this RMA debacle and not sure what to do from here. Has anyone had luck getting a hold of Adata? Any thoughts on where to go next?

Yikes, this doesn't bode particularly well for me, as I have a 2TB XPG SSD I have to RMA. So far, their websites' support process and overall navigation doesn't seem very good.

Quick question, were you able to get a prepaid label for shipping the drive in? I am trying to figure out how to get one, and have emailed support after requesting an RMA, but so far haven't gotten much of a response.

I was not, I had to pay the shipping myself.

Wanted to post an update on this issue. After everything I tried above, I kept trying to engage Adata through Facebook Messenger and through their website chat feature (which by the way never had any agents but redirected you to leave a message). I had kind of given up on ever getting a response from them when I got a random package last week and it ended up being a replacement drive. Never got any email notification of the RMA status or that a drive was on it's way, it just showed up in the mail.

So a happy ending to the saga but the path to get there was an extremely frustrating one.

Yikes, well hopefully I have better luck with them, when I send mine in. I still haven't gotten a reply from their customer support about a prepaid label.

Order a new one on Amazon and send the dead one back as the return and let them deal with it internally.

Hmm, I got this from Newegg though.
Still a drive right? As long as the part # matches it shouldn't be an issue.

I had a streamer box I picked up on Amazon several months prior and it let the smoke out on a firmware upgrade. Ordered a new one and sent the dead one back no issue. Dealing with warranties / RMA processes is a PITA and takes too long.

I had a car project and needed some tools to get it done and Amazon works well for that as well. I still have to nag them on a couple of returns at this point but, for the most part it's all automated. Though they've started this OTP on new deliveries for certain items instead of just dropping them at the door like usual. Maybe there's a $ threshold but, my phone required one and the AP I'm looking at is prompting one but, one was $700 and the other is under $200 so it's hard to figure out why. When I did my current AP though it was over $200 and didn't requite any OTP to get it. Maybe they have something else going on in my area or it's just me being a hooligan with them.
